What do I do when it's 11:30 PM and i'm HUNGRY
elbeac, I understand what you mean. I binge mostly at night when I am alone too. I have also found that my binging had gone on for so long that I wasn't always able to tell when I was actually hungry or when I was having urges to binge. I still can't tell the difference sometimes. What I have found helpful is to have herbal tea in the evenings when I'm not sure if it is legitimate hunger or binge urges. Herbal tea is a natural appetite suppressant and as long as you don’t load it up with sugar it’s not going to be bad for you.
I try eating a few almonds or something....they seem to help curb my binge urge
i have problem with nights too. if you want to call somebody you can call me anytime
i try a banana or an apple with peanut butter...also water or tea...i find that sometimes when i binge i should have just had a big glass of water....but then again if it was that simple....i guess binging wouldnt be an issue for me.
A simple snack and lots of fluids to help you feel full. I have the same problem. Just be aware once you start its hard to stop
I hope this is helpful: I was reading up on Sports Nutrition articles in which they did research on if eating at night is really as bad as everyone thinks it is. Truth is, having a snack at night isn't bad at all! This is why: your body's metabolism and the energy it uses while you sleep is equal to when you're awake and just sitting around. So even though you're sleeping, your body's metabolism isn't. So, it turns our that eating a snack before bed actually isn't that bad! You just have to be careful of WHAT you eat late at night. Usually people tend to mindlessly snack at night and that's why eating at night gets a bad reputation. Hope that helps!
I go to bed at 9 pm so I won't get hungry.
About 6 months ago I suddenly felt ready to start an eating plan. I fired my oa sponsor. I eat just 3 meals a day. I have lost 28 pounds. It is working for me.
Eating in between meals was just making me binge. I have been bingeing for 25 years.
I know this isn't for everyone. I have to have a strict food plan.
Just thought I would share, good luck!

elbeac......Hi; yes, it's hard to allow yourself to eat when you have that war going on in your head; too many 'rules'.
If you are hungry, your body truly needs food.
There is nothing wrong with eating at night; so first, get that notion out of your head! A heavy meal may not 'feel' good, but a snack before bed actually encourages a higher rate of metabolism, which is good overall!
A snack of some carbohydrates (crackers, graham crackers, etc.), and/or a glass of milk or juice could be just enough to satisfy your hunger and it should help you relax as well.
It's OK to break those old ED rules; you get to decide. If you are hungry, then feed your body and your mind!
Take care....Jan ♥
